What it is?
UGC NET stands for (University
Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) is conducted to determine the JRF (Junior
Research Fellowships) eligibility in the students of the capability to
Lectureship in the Indian Universities as well as colleges. It is in numerous
fields of study, say approximately 78 disciplines that is conducted
all over India in 77 Universities Centers.
The applicant once qualified
the UGC NET is liable for the JRF only when ranked as a JRF merely qualifying
NET does not gives eligibility for the JRF. The JRF fellowship amount is given
to the applicant and applicant can hold research in the concern course. Find

Institutes.
Eligibility Norms:
a)
Educational Qualification: The
applicant must have secured at least 55% of aggregate marks in Post Graduation
level from a renowned University.
b)
Age Limit: The age of
the applicant must be not more than 28 years. The age relaxation is provided to
reserved category applicant.
Application
Fees:
For Gen the fee amount is Rs.450/- and for OBC Rs.225/- and for SC/ST/PH/VH
Categories Rs.110/-. The fee can be paid by challan issued by UGC which has to
be paid by SBI plus bank charges (Rs.20/-)
How do I
Apply?
Applicant has to go to the online website of the UGC and
applicant can apply their online for NET.
Exam
Pattern: The
examination has 3 papers Paper I of 50 questions and 100 Marks, Paper-II of 50 Questions
of 100 marks and Paper-III of 75 Questions of 150 marks of 1hr and 15 minutes
duration (Paper-I & II) and 2 hrs 15 minutes duration (Paper III).
