Posts name:

Central railway is inviting application from various candidates for the vacancy of Group C & D. 

Number of vacancy:

Total number of vacancy for Group C is 2 posts.

Total number of vacancy for Group D is 8 posts.  

Pay package:

Aspirants who will be selected for Group C vacancy will get an amount equal to Rs. 5200  to  20,200 plus G.P. (Grade Pay) - Rs. 1900/-.

Aspirants who will be selected for Group D vacancy will get an amount equal to Rs. 5200  to 20,200 plus G.P. (Grade Pay) - Rs. 1800/-.

Required eligibility:

Aspirants who want to apply for the above mentioned post should be high school passed or ITI passed or any Equivalent degree from renowned board.

Selection Procedure:

Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination and personal interview.

Application Fees:

Application fees for general and OBC category candidates is Rs 100/-. Aspirants should pay fees in the demand draft form only.

No fees are charged from Schedule caste, Schedule tribes, and physically handicapped aspirants.

Applying mechanism:

Aspirants can download the application form or they can also write the application form in the same format as provided in the website, candidates should write it in their own hand writing only.  Candidate should not forget to attach the relevant document and demand draft along with the application form. Criteria of age:

Aspirants who want to apply for the vacancy of Group C must be between 18 to 30 years of age. 

Aspirants who want to apply for Group D posts must be between 18 to 33 years of age. 

Age Relaxation will be provided on the basis of Government age regulations.

Examination date:

Provisional Date of Written test is October 19, 2013.

What it is?

UGC NET stands for (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) is conducted to determine the JRF (Junior Research Fellowships) eligibility in the students of the capability to Lectureship in the Indian Universities as well as colleges. It is in numerous fields of study, say approximately 78   disciplines that is conducted all over India in 77 Universities Centers.

The applicant once qualified the UGC NET is liable for the JRF only when ranked as a JRF merely qualifying NET does not gives eligibility for the JRF. Eligibility Norms:

a)                Educational Qualification: The applicant must have secured at least 55% of aggregate marks in Post Graduation level from a renowned University.

b)                 Age Limit: The age of the applicant must be not more than 28 years. The age relaxation is provided to reserved category applicant.

Application Fees:  For Gen the fee amount is Rs.450/- and for OBC Rs.225/- and for SC/ST/PH/VH Categories Rs.110/-. The fee can be paid by challan issued by UGC which has to be paid by SBI plus bank charges (Rs.20/-)

How do I Apply?

Applicant has to go to the online website of the UGC and applicant can apply their online for NET.

Exam Pattern: The examination has 3 papers Paper I of 50 questions and 100 Marks, Paper-II of 50 Questions of 100 marks and Paper-III of 75 Questions of 150 marks of 1hr and 15 minutes duration (Paper-I & II) and 2 hrs 15 minutes duration (Paper III).
